Inverters

Choosing an Inverter

12v or 24v inverters are available and you should check what battery you are connecting the inverter to. Pure Sine wave inverter or modified sine wave inverter will depend upon the equipment you are connecting to the inverter see below. The power of the inverter must be greater than the total power of the equipment you are going to connect to the inverter. We suggest that the inverter is rated at least 25 percent more than the equipment you are going to connect to the inverter.

The battery that powers the inverter should be powerful enough for the load that it going to be used for the inverter and the connections to the battery should be made correctly so that the invertewr can get all the power it requires.

Pure sine wave Inverters

A pure sine wave inverter produces a nearly sine wave output that is very similar to the grid power. Thus it is compatible with nearly all AC electronic products.

Modified sine wave Inverters:

The output of a modified square wave, quasi square, or modified sine wave inverter is similar to a square wave output except that the output goes to zero volts for a time before switching positive or negative. Sensitive or specialized equipment may not work correctly on a modified sine wave inverter.
